Photographs and postcards of scenes around the Village of Sea Cliff, including individuals, houses, hotels, schools, churches, the fire department, village officials, parades, trolleys, the harbor, boats, beaches, and bathers at the shore. Items of note include ca. 300 glass plate negatives of Sea Cliff and elsewhere on Long Island taken by Henry Otto Korten, along with postcards and prints made from the negatives; 215 publicity photos from theatrical agent Julius Hirshfeld of movie stars of the 1920s and 1930s, many with autographs; glass negatives and positive slides of landscape forester J.J. (Jacob Joshua) Levison, illustrating various forms of landscaping and parks, including pictures of the construction of Prospect Park in Brooklyn, and slides from a course on using landscaping for industrial camouflage, 1942; and photo albums with portraits and notes on World War II servicemen and women.
